DARK STAR weaves vivid imagery, a story world that takes place all around you, incredible live music, breath taking dance, immersive battles, supernatural visions, and a bewitching new primal tale that has ghostly echoes of inspiration from Macbeth, and that runs deep in the Cornish landscape.
Though set in days gone by, the story is an obsidian mirror of the world we live in today. It is about conquering the challenges of an unfair world, the sacrifices we make to follow our hearts and the cost of resetting a world out of balance.
Following the fearless footsteps of Rogue’s “Fortune”, “King Arthur”, “Firebird”, and “Night Voyage”, DARK STAR is an immersive theatre adventure for adult imaginations, a calling to your wild side, a celebration how the riches in our darkest dreams come to light.
DARK STAR is the Dark Side of our Wild Double Bill for adults and those with wilder imaginations
(REBEL FAIRY TALES is this year’s Daylight Side of our Wild Double-Bill and is perfect for families from the oldest to the youngest).
Between REBEL FAIRY TALES and DARK STAR, you can choose to lose yourself in a rebel hearted tale by day, or an all-out wild tale by night.
Indeed, you may choose both!!! (We offer a double-bill discount if you do).

Fortune is an immersive journey through the woods leading to a show performed in two halves with an interval halfway. The show at the heart of the woods is about 45 minutes for each half.
The total event lasts about 2 hours and 20 minutes.
Dress for your wild side (but don’t forget a coat)
WHAT TO EXPECT
- Arrive and park up 15 minutes before your start time. Directions below and on our Find us page. Please drive at walking speed in the parking area and follow the instructions of the parking person.
- A Rogue will meet you at the box office at the edge of the woods 15 minutes before your adventure begins.
- Follow the woodland path into the storyworld and to the heart of the woods at dusk.
- Take a seat on a hay bale (or a chair) beneath the stretch canvas in our woodland theatre. There is a bar and refreshment tent, a fire and a cauldron bubbling with vegetable stew, music and a warm welcome, and even a lovely compost loo!
- The show lasts about 1 hour and 30 minutes. There is an interval about half way when the bar will be open and stew will be served from the cauldron.
- At the end the bar is open again. Spend some time with the Rogues in the heart of the woods and then follow the lights back to your world.

Reasonably priced hot refreshments, cold drinks, beer, wine and cider (and Rogue’s famous Wild Woodland Stew) will be available to buy.
We accept cash and card payments.
Toilets are situated near the performance area.
(There are no toilets in the car park)
For your woodland adventure we recommend you bring a warm and waterproof coat, shoes for adventure (wellies if it has been raining) and a torch if you are coming for the evening performance.
There will be hay bales to sit on (and a few chairs for those who need them).

Don’t worry if it should rain, we have you covered with our beautiful stretch canvas canopy for the show.
ACCESSIBILITY
DARK STAR is accessible for most wheelchair users.
There is also vehicle access to the heart of the woods where the main part of the event takes place, for those who should need.

(REBEL FAIRY TALES is the day time offering for families and imaginations that love to run wild in the glittering day. REBEL FAIRY TALES has a show each day at 15:30 and a handful of additional shows at 12:30 (see Box Office Page for details))

3 years and under Tickets £Free
AFFORDABILITY DISCOUNT £7.50. Simply email [email protected] to request an affordability discount code. The witch will get back asap with a code to reveal affordability discount tickets at £7.50.
WILD CARDS £Free to request (£7.50 to donate). Request a free Wild Card if you couldn’t otherwise afford to come and we will allocate those that are available. To request a Wild Card email [email protected] or text 07301067700.
Donate a Wild Card. If you would like to donate a Wild Card, you can do so by simply adding a £7.50 Wildcard to your order and we will allocate the ticket to an unknown friend.
(£12 and £14 tickets support future Rogue magick).
DOUBLE-BILL DISCOUNTS
If you would like to see both REBEL FAIRY TALES and DARK STAR this summer with a discount, simply buy tickets for your first choice of show and you’ll recieve a double bill discount code in the confirmation email. The Double-Bill Discount reduces tickets to £8 per ticket and can be used for any show with remaining availability. (Double-Bill Discount tickets can be for seperate days during the run).
ARRIVAL
Please arrive 15 minutes early to be greeted by the Box Office Faerie.
You can arrive up to 30 minutes before your booking time (to keep vehicle numbers down in the car park).
Please follow the instructions of our high vis parking faerie.
FINDING US
Tehidy Woods North Cliffs is situated between Portreath and Gwithian on the B3301. Rogue uses a separate parking area to the Tehidy North Cliffs Car Park; if approaching from the west (Gwithian) keep your eyes out for our entrance on the right, if coming from the east (Portreath) it will be on your left.
