At the heart of the outstanding Cornish landscape, there is a woodland that bursts into life each season with a celebration of wild tales and wonder.
Lose yourself in Tehidy Woods on the North Cliffs this summer and find yourself in a storyworld of Rebel Fairy Tales.
“Immersive Theatre at its best” Rogue Otherworld invites audiences to cross the wild threshold into a celtic landscape of old magic and summer festivity.

Presented by The Moon and The Wild King, take your imagination and for an adventure in the trees of Cornwall’s most otherwordly destination!

Rebel Fairy Tales is a woodland adventure for all ages, for all who love fairy tales, for all who love the wild, for all who have a rebellious sparkle in their nature!
Like wandering into a woodland festival of wild marvels, Rebel Fairy Tales offers a wondrous welcome, weaving a summer spell of magic, incredible music, breath taking dance, humour, and a brilliant new Rogue tale.
Created by Cornwall’s award-winning Rogue Otherworld; Rebel Fairy Tales is this year’s Daylight Side of our Wild Double-Bill.
Rebel Fairy Tales is perfect for families from the oldest to the youngest.
(Dark Star is the Dark Side of our Wild Double Bill. Wilder and braver, Dark Star is a fiery diamond from the darkness of the forest. Dark Star is for adults and those with wilder imaginations).
Between Rebel Fairy Tales and Dark Star, you can choose to lose yourself in a rebel hearted tale by day, or an all-out wild tale by the dark of night.
You may choose both!!!

Rebel Fairy Tales is an immersive journey through the woods leading to a show of about 1 hour and 10 minutes. There is no interval giving time after the show to enjoy the magic at the heart of the woods and time to dance on the stage!
The total event lasts about 2 hours.
Dress for your imagination (but don’t forget woodland shoes and a coat)!
Wild princess dresses, witchy attire, rebel wear, disguises, fairy tale costumes and otherworld outfits are encouraged though not essential.
WHAT TO EXPECT
- Arrive and park up 15 minutes before your start time. Directions below and on our Find us page. Please drive at walking speed in the parking area and follow the instructions of the parking faerie.
- A Rogue faerie host will meet you at the box office at the edge of the woods 15 minutes before your adventure begins.
- Follow the woodland path into the storyworld and to the heart of the woods.
- Take a seat on a hay bale (or a chair) beneath the stretch canvas in our woodland theatre. Here there is a bar and refreshment tent, a fire and a cauldron bubbling with vegetable stew, music and a warm welcome, and even a lovely compost loo!
- The show starts at the woodland heart and takes place on the stage and all around you.
- The show lasts about 1 hour and 10 minutes and at the end there is a party! The bar is open, and the stew will be served and there is free face painting and dancing on the stage!
- Follow the signs back through the woods!
Reasonably priced hot refreshments, cold drinks, beer, wine and cider (and Rogue’s famous Wild Woodland Vegetable Stew) will be available to buy.
We except cash and card payments.
Toilets are situated near the performance area including and accessible toilet.
(There are no toilets in the car park)
For your woodland adventure we recommend you bring a warm and waterproof coat, shoes for adventure (wellies if it has been raining).
There will be hay bales to sit on (and a few chairs for those who need them).
The event lasts about 2 hours and takes place in the woodland so come prepared whatever the weather.
Don’t worry if it should rain, we have you covered with our beautiful stretch canvas canopy for the show.
ACCESSIBILITY
Rogue’s woodland productions are accessible for most wheelchair users.
There is also vehicle access to the heart of the woods where the main part of the event takes place, for those who should need.

Rebel Fairy Tales is the Daylight offering of Rogue Otherworld’s Wild Summer Double-Bill.
Shows begin at 15:30pm on each of the show days below, with an additional 12:30pm show on the days highlighted in BLUE.
(DARK STAR is the twilight offering and emerges as the embers of the day fade beyond the North Cliffs giving way to the tide of magic shadows. DARK STAR starts each day at 19.30pm)

3 years and under Tickets £Free
AFFORDABILITY DISCOUNT £7.50. Simply email [email protected] to request an affordability discount code. The witch will get back asap with a code to reveal affordability discount tickets at £7.50.
WILD CARDS £Free to request (£7.50 to donate). Request a free Wild Card if you couldn’t otherwise afford to come and we will allocate those that are available. To request a Wild Card email [email protected] or text 07301067700.
Donate a Wild Card. If you would like to donate a Wild Card, you can do so by simply adding a £7.50 Wildcard to your order and we will allocate the ticket to an unknown friend.

DOUBLE-BILL DISCOUNTS
If you would like to see both REBEL FAIRY TALES and DARK STAR this summer with a discount, simply buy tickets for your first choice of show and you’ll recieve a double bill discount code in the confirmation email. The Double-Bill Discount reduces tickets to £8 per ticket and can be used for any show with remaining availability. (Double-Bill Discount tickets can be for seperate days during the run).
ARRIVAL
Please arrive 15 minutes early to be greeted by the Box Office Faerie.
You can arrive up to 30 minutes before your booking time (to keep vehicle numbers down in the car park).

FINDING US
Tehidy Woods North Cliffs is situated between Portreath and Gwithian on the B3301. Rogue uses a separate parking area to the Tehidy North Cliffs Car Park; if approaching from the west (Gwithian) keep your eyes out for our entrance on the right, if coming from the east (Portreath) it will be on your left.
