The Wild Woodland Summer Dance is a joyful outdoor experience of storytelling, live music, dance, Cornish myth and wild summer magic beneath the trees.

A ROGUE OTHERWORLD SUMMER TRADITION
For over fifteen years, Rogue Otherworld has transformed Tehidy Woods North Cliffs into a living landscape of myth, magic and imagination.
Across the turning of the year, thousands of people have stepped through the trees and into the Otherworld for Winter Wood, Wild Awake, Dead of Night Dance and countless seasonal adventures.
This summer, the story continues in the Mythic Woods of Tehidy, where the trees meet the sea and Cornwall’s wild heart begins to dance.

The Wild Woodland Summer Dance is a celebration of Cornwall’s wild heart.
Journey through the Mythic Woods of Tehidy, where ancient stories linger beneath the trees and hidden magic waits in the landscape itself.
This summer, Rogue Otherworld invites you into a living world of folklore, wonder and remembrance. A place where sea and woodland meet. Where old songs still echo through the stones. Where forgotten stories stir beneath Atlantic skies.

The afternoon shows (Midday and Afternoon) are full of summer light, woodland magic and joyful adventure.
The twilight show has the same story, but as the sun lowers and the shadows gather, the woods become wilder, deeper and more atmospheric. Experience the woods at night lit up with festoons.
Each event lasts approximately 2 hours, including the woodland journey, seated performance and time to enjoy the celebration at the end.
Shows begin at 15:30pm and 19:00pm on each of the show days below, with an additional 12:00pm show on the days highlighted in BLUE.

WHAT TO EXPECT
Arrival
Arrive at Tehidy Woods North Cliffs and follow the signs to Rogue’s free event parking.
Please arrive around 15 minutes before your start time, but no more than 30 minutes before, to help us keep the car park flowing.
A Rogue faerie host will meet you at the edge of the woods and guide you into the beginning of your adventure.
The woodland journey
Follow the path through the trees as the story world weaves its magic around you.
The route leads into the heart of the woods, where Rogue’s hidden woodland theatre waits beneath the canopy.
The performance
Gather on hay bales or chairs for a live outdoor performance filled with storytelling, music, movement, dance, humour, beauty and Cornish magic.
(You don’t need to bring your own chair unless you’d like to).
The main performance area is covered by our stretch canvas canopy, so the show can go ahead in all the wonders of the Cornish weather.
Food, drink and atmosphere
Enjoy affordable woodland refreshments from The Witch’s Kitchen, a drink from the bar, and Rogue’s famous wild woodland vegetable stew cooked in a cauldron on the fire.
There will be time to enjoy the atmosphere before and after the show.
The celebration
At the end of the adventure, music rises and the woods come alive in a joyful summer celebration.
Dance if you want to.
Watch if you prefer.
Everyone is welcome.

Weather: The event takes place in the woods. Please dress for adventure and the weather (bring extra layers just in case). The main performance area is covered.
Toilets: Eco toilets and an accessible toilet are available near the main performance area. (There is no toilet in the car park)
Food and drink: Affordable woodland refreshments, bar and cauldron stew available to buy.
Payment: Cash and card accepted.
Dress code: Dress for your imagination, but don’t forget woodland shoes and a coat.
Otherworld outfits, fairy wings, wild finery, festival sparkle, witchy attire, flower crowns, rebel wear and magical disguises are encouraged but not essential!
ACCESSIBILITY
Rogue’s woodland productions are adventurous, but we work hard to make them as accessible as possible.
The event takes place in a real woodland environment with natural paths, uneven ground and changing weather conditions. We lay the route with wood chippings and it is suitable for many buggies and most wheelchair users, depending on conditions.
Vehicle access to the heart of the woods is available for those who need it.
